Designed for learners who wish to acquire the necessary Chinese proficiency skills in speaking, listening, reading and writing, this programme will equip participants with the ability and confidence to handle workplace situations where Mandarin is required.

The Business Mandarin Programme is a collaborative project between Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) and the Office of Chinese Language Council International. Beijing (Hanban). This programme is heavily subsidised by WDA for Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents who meet the criteria. WDA will also provide participating companies with absentee payroll under this programme.

Training Levels
Foundation
- Suitable for complete beginners or learners with lower than Primary 3 level Chinese.
- Comprehensive Beginner
- Comprehensive Pre-Intermediate
- Comprehensive Intermediate
- Comprehensive Upper Intermediate
- Comprehensive Advanced
Entry requirements
Participants with higher than Primary 3 level Chinese are required to sit for a placement test. Based on the test results, participants will be placed in a level that matches their proficiency.
Assessment & Certificate
Participants who have fulfilled 75% attendance, completed the post-test assessment and met other course requirements will be awarded with a WSQ Statement of Attainment.
