Macarons are known for their pretty colours and their fun flavours, but have you ever considered going that extra mile and decorating your macarons? You will learn the fundamentals of baking macaron with a good structure, then the decoration starts! You will be amazed by how many ways you can decorate your macarons - piping delicate designs, gilding, adding lustre, adding fondant flowers and textures, handdrawn designs, shaped animal faces etc.
Think macarons are gourmet french pastries loved by adults? Think again! We'll show you the many faces of macarons - cute, funky, adorable, glitzy, chic - anything you want them to be! After this class, you'll never look at macarons the same way!
In this class, you will do:
- hands on preparing and baking macarons - basic macaron and shaped macarons. Basic macaron recipe will be provided.
- learn the theory and watch a demonstration of how we make italian meringue buttercream - Recipe will be provided
- hands on decorating macarons - piping designs, working with edible decors, fondant molding, edible pens, sparkles and various dusts,
You will bring home all the macarons you have baked and decorated! Please bring your own container to bring home about 20 macarons!
