Graduates of the Foundation Programme for Singapore QP are eligible to apply for the Singapore QP Professional Programme
Introduction
The Foundation Programme for Singapore QP provides an alternate pathway into the Singapore QP for candidates who do not have an accredited accountancy degree. Our Foundation Programme maps to the syllabus of the SAC Foundation Programme.
The Singapore QP framework is specially designed to:
- enable aspiring audit professionals and accountants to acquire internationally portable skills;
- facilitate the global recognition of Singapore-trained audit professionals and professional accountants;
- enhance the value-add of the accountancy profession in the Asian marketplace.
Building on extensive consultations with employers, universities, students, government agencies, this framework weaves together elements which meet the needs of the Singapore and Asia-Pacific environment.
The Singapore QP has 3 components:
Students taking “Preparatory Course on Financial Accounting”, will be assessed by end-of-module test. Students will be assessed at the end of the module through examinations for the rest of 6 modules.To attain a pass for each module, students must achieve passing marks of 50%.
To graduate with a Foundation Programme for Singapore QP students must successfully complete and pass all required examinable modules
Graduating students will be issued a result transcript and awarded with a diploma certificate from SIM upon graduation.
The maximum allowed period for a student to complete the programme is 2 years. The candidature period of 48 months includes repeat semesters or leave of absence within the period of study.
Any student who fails to complete the programme within the maximum allowed period will not be entitled to any recourse or refund.
