Course Learning Outcomes
The Practical ICT Skills Level 3 [ASEPICT3] qualification aims to equip candidates the ability to demonstrate competency in IT Applications. It develops their understanding and practical ability across the key Level 3 areas of software applications in Word Processing, Presentation Software, Spreadsheet, and Database and apply these in a modern business context.
In the modern business environment, ICT is a fundamental business skill. A comprehensive understanding of modern uses of standard ICT functions to communicate as well as to display, manipulate and store information is a pre-requisite for any organization working in an international, globalized world.
This qualification is designed for candidates who wish to: develop advanced practical ICT skills and apply these skills in a modern business context; progress a career and need appropriate ICT skills to support that career; and return to work and need to update their ICT skills. It is endorsed by eskills UK Ltd, the Sector Skills Council for IT interests in the UK.
The assessments enable candidates to demonstrate their ability to use competently the applications and apply these skills to produce accurate, business-like work. In order to qualify for this award, candidates must demonstrate competence in a minimum of two applications from Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database and Graphics.
This qualification can be taken as a standalone Certificate qualification or as part of the relevant LCCI diplomas such as the Diploma in Business Administration, and Double diplomas.

ASSESSMENT OBJECTIVES:
The assessments enable candidates to demonstrate their ability at Level 3 to:
Use competently the applications of Word Processing; Spreadsheets; Database and Presentation Software and apply these skills to produce accurate, business-like work.Teaching / Learning Methods and Strategies
Hands-on Practical lessons / Trial of Past Year Examination Papers / Assignments / Classroom Face-To-Face Theoretical Explanations
Criteria of Award
Candidates must fulfill at least 75% course attendance requirements by AEB to sit for examinations. The Board will supply a set of 4 assignments. Candidates who qualify for full certification will have 2 (or more) successful applications endorsed on their certificates. A Unit Certificate is awarded to candidates who achieve at least a Pass grade in any one of the four units; while a full Certificate is awarded to candidates who achieve at least a Pass grade in a minimum of any two of the four units.

EXAMINABLE 2-HOUR PRACTICAL PAPER FOR EACH APPLICATION (EXTERNAL AWARD BY LONDON CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY INTERNATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS, UK) - 4 TIMES / YEAR [MAR & APR (Series 2/On-Demand) / JUN (Series 3) / SEP (On-Demand) / NOV & DEC (Series 4)].
Expected date of release of Assessment result
Assessment results will be available to the students within 3 months upon completion of the last assessment for that assessment cycle. Appeal (if any) on assessment results must be lodged within 7 days after the release of assessment results.
