The objective of this course is to prepare students how to bridge the gap between ‘knowing’ and ‘doing’, combining finance and business knowledge to help you inform and forecast business strategy. Upon completion and passing of this course, the students will be a qualified Chartered Management Accountant.
OVERVIEW
The Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting comprises of two component parts that must both be achieved in order to complete the test. Credits are used to measure success, rather than marks. To pass the Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting, students must achieve an aggregated minimum of 75 credits – comprising a minimum of 50 credits for Part A (maximum 50 credits) and a minimum of 25 credits for Part B (maximum 50 credits). Students are advised to undertake Part A and Part B concurrently, although either can be taken in any order once all strategic level examination have been completed. The overall result for the Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting can only be given when both component parts have been completed.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- The minimum entry requirement is either one of the following criteria:
- Students who have completed the Strategic Level of the CIMA course or
- Students who have completed the CITECH Postgraduate Diploma in Financial Services and CITECH Diploma in Accounting and Finance and completed CIMA Strategic Level Modules
- Other qualifications will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

MODE OF ASSESSMENT
- Students will be required to sit for a final written external examination set by CIMA.
LEARNING AND TEACHING STRATEGIES
- Every modules are delivered via lectures, PowerPoint presentations, tutorials, and inpidual assistance as required.
- Our courses are generally conducted on a modular basis. Our average contact hours for the T4 - Part B program are 50 hours per module which comprise of lectures and tutorials.

Part A Initial Professional Development – Work Based Practical Experience (maximum 50 credits) Students must prepare and submit a ‘CIMA Career Profile’ for assessment of their personal work based practical experience and skills development. An approved Career Profile is awarded 50 credits – the amount needed to meet the requirements for Part A of the Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting.
Part B Case Study Examination (maximum 50 credits) Students must sit and pass the Case Study Examination – a three hour assessment of competence, completed within a supervised examination environment. 25 credits must be awarded to meet the minimum requirements for Part B of the Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting.
Student must achieve an overall mark score of minimum 50% for all the modules in order to graduate with the respective award.
