Course Objective
The Certificate in Logistics Management aims to develop students with the principles and techniques of logistics practices in a contemporary organisation.
More specifically, this course aims to provide students with the working knowledge of warehousing, purchasing, as well as the accounting techniques and communication skills that are desired in the logistics function.
Faculty & Mode Of Delivery
Our teaching faculty are experienced practitioners with the accredited academic qualifications and professional competence. This course is 100% face-to-face lecture. The course work includes attendance at lectures, case discussions and class participations.
Attendance & Assessment
Attendance is monitored regularly and unless approved, students must achieve a minimum overall attendance of 75% to sit for the end-of-term examination.
Assessment is based on 100% written examination. At the end of each term, students sit for the consolidated examination covering two subjects. There will be a total of two consolidated examinations for the course.
Academic Award & Credential Title
Students must pass all 4 subjects within the candidature period, in order to complete the course successfully with a Certificate in Logistics Management.
All graduates can use the post-nominal credential title of CLM (SIPMM) and are eligible for 28 Competency Merit Points (CMPs) that can be used for certification eligibility with World Certification Institute.
Admission Criteria
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and must meet the minimum prerequisites as stated below:
- GCE ‘N’ Level pass in English, minimum Grade 5, or obtained a pass in English proficiency test set by SIPMM Academy; or
- NITEC certificate with an overall pass; and
- At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
Award Recognition
Courses at SIPMM Academy are widely accepted by the industries, and the diplomas are recognised by several accredited universities overseas. CAM graduates can enrol for the one-year business related Diploma course that is conducted by SIPMM Academy.

LSC104 Principles of Warehousing
This subject aims to provide the working knowledge of warehouse operations and maintaining proper records. Topics of this subject include inventory, storekeeping, packaging, distribution, stocktaking, stock valuation, physical layout planning and movement of stores, and warehouse equipment maintenance.
LSC105 Principles of Purchasing
This subject aims to provide the working knowledge of effective purchasing practices. Topics of this subject include the purchasing cycle, international sourcing, vendor rating, supplier selection, make & buy decisions, purchase negotiations, purchasing ethics, and the legal implications of purchasing.
ACC107 Principles of Accounting
This subject aims to provide the basic knowledge of accounting for business transactions and maintaining accounting records. Topics of this subject include bookkeeping, journal entries, ledger record, debit and credit posting, cost accounting, as well as constructing simple financial statements.
BUS110 Principles of Communication
This subject aims to provide the knowledge and skills of effective business communication. Topics of this subject include verbal and non-verbal communication, listening and questioning skills, effective writing skills, as well as effective communication through social media.
