Course details

The Centre for Adult Learning and Professional Development offers a series of short, non-accredited courses in a number of different subject areas. Designed for students with an interest in the subjects on offer, these courses may provide you with an opportunity to meet interesting people to discuss your ideas with, to find out more about your subject areas and also to experience the world of lifelong learning.

Who are the courses for?

These courses are particularly suitable for people who have never had an opportunity to study a particular subject area before or for people who wish to gain a deeper insight into a discipline that already interests them. The short courses are also ideal for someone who is considering higher education as a mature student and wishes to experience learning at an introductory level.

There are no assessments on the short courses, attendance and participation is based on the student’s interest in the area and joy of learning.
