Whether you're in a school where you have limited access to a guidance counselor, or you simply want another perspective on the college admissions process, SGTGI: Preparing for the Admissions Process is full of helpful insights, creative strategies, and much more to help you prepare yourself to effectively tackle the college application process without the stress that comes from not knowing what to do or starting too late. The course content is delivered in a video lecture format which can be completed at your convenience. All of the lessons have assignments which serve to reinforce the information presented in the video lessons and quizzes to check for understanding.

SGTGI: Preparing for the Admissions Process is designed to help students and parents demystify the college admissions process. It is best suited for high school students in 11th grade or the second semester of 10th grade, but can be accessed by all high school students and/or their parents. Topics include:

  1. Creating an initial list of colleges
  2. Completing effective campus visits
  3. Establishing a personalized testing plan
  4. Understanding the varying types of financial aid
  5. Deciphering the many application types
