Entrance Criteria

  • Successful completion of the previous learning areas (1-4) (have completed the junior Bookkeeping qualification, or an equivalent qualification) OR be a qualified Certified Junior Bookkeeper
  • Grade 11 or equivalent
  • Learners must be at least 16 years of age
  • The ability to read and write in English
  • Exam fees are not included in your course feesCourse Structure 

Certificate Level Subjects:

  • Learning Module 1: Finalisation and interpretation of accounts
  • Learning Module 2: Depreciable assets
  • Learning Module 3: Financial statements of the sole trader
  • Learning Module 4: Partnerships
  • Learning Module 5: Close corporations
  • Learning Module 6: Companies
  • Learning Module 7: Statement of cash flows
Assessment and Award

Once you have successfully completed the necessary assignments prescribed by College SA, you may apply to complete the examinations with the ICB. Upon successful completion of your one exam, ICB will certainly you with a Transcript of Results.

In order to write exams with the ICB you will have to:

  • Apply to the ICB and register with them to write their exams
  • Submit a Portfolio of Evidence to the ICB on the day of you exams
 College SA will help you every step of the way with this.

Upon successful completion of your exams, the ICB will certify you with a Statement of Competence showing the respective Unit Standards which you have completed and FASSET will award you with a Unit Standards Certificate for any Unit Standards that you successfully complete
