This course allows students to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to pursue a career in private security, the uniformed services and the following related areas: Garda Síochána, Defence Forces, Prison Services and Fire Services.
THIS COURSE IS DESIGNED TO
Provide participants wishing to make a career in the private security industry or the uniformed services with a thorough grounding in the legal and practical dimensions of security.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or equivalent.
- Interview
- Mature applicants welcome
- This course requires participants to be Garda vetted. Continued participation on the course and work placement is dependent on the successful completion of this process.
- Students may have to partake in a fitness test
