NOSA offers three globally recognised qualifications designed to meet the health, safety, environmental and risk management needs of all places of work in both the private and public sectors.
SAMTRAC International provides the learner with both foundational and fundamental knowledge critical to occupational HSE management. SAMTRAC International covers the integration of occupational HSE management, and students are taken through the practical process of implementing and maintaining an occupational HSE management system using the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycle.
COURSE OUTLINE
- Describing risk management as a process and discuss different risk control measures
- Evaluating different incident prevention theories
- Motivating the use of HSE management system to prevent incidents in the workplace
- Advising on different legislative requirements with regard to health, safety and the environment
- Evaluating the management of different technical aspects as part of the HSE management system
- Assisting management with the implementation and maintenance of an effective occupational health, safety and environmental programme
- Identifying relevant environmental Acts, regulations and guidelines
- Describing the impact of industrial operations on the environment
- Writing risk-based standards for HSE management system
- Advising on implementation and measurement of standards
- Advising on co-ordinating the HSE management system to achieve continual improvement
- Describing how the effectiveness of the system can be evaluated
