Course details
The Safe Pass Programme is a Safety Awareness Training programme aimed at all construction site personnel, including new entrants, to ensure that they have the basic knowledge of health and safety.
Why the need for the Safe Pass Programme?
It is important that workers have a basic knowledge of health and safety to make them aware of the inherent dangers on construction sites so that they will not be a risk to themselves or to their co-workers who work alongside them.
The health and safety awareness training provided by the Western Management Centre under the FAS Safe Pass programme, whilst complying with the provisions of the Safety Health and welfare at Work Act, 1989, the Safety Health and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations, 1993 and the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 1995, must not be seen in any way to relieve employers of their statutory duty to provide information, instruction and other appropriate health and safety awareness training to their employees.
