This course provides an overview of the various current strategies used to create a safer environment in the management and administration of medications in the hospitals. It covers the type and causes of medication errors and strategies and ways to reduce such medication errors.

This programme aims to provide participants with the current strategies used to prevent harm to patients as a result of medication errors, medication management and usage in a hospital.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

The course aims to provide nurses with comprehensive knowledge on developing systems, strategies and practices for safe medication practices. It will cover the collaborative roles of the nurses in ensuring safe medication practices.
