This course we will look at the use of lifting beams and spreaders to rig load, Install hook blocks using skip reeving, Lift and move loads using winches, Lift and move loads using block and tackle, Secure load for transport, Use of portable radios, Install and remove procedure of a luffing jib, Perform heavy lift and Review the lift plan.
This course was developed using the Regulation of PUWER-1998(Provision & use of work equipment), LOLER-1998 (Lifting operation & Lifting equipment), HSE-1992(Approve code of practice of load lifting), ASME B30.5.2004(Mobile Crane & Locomotive Crane) & B30.9 (Wire rope & Sling) to protecting the people from Accident . In addition to the topics outlined below, this course also covers the proper use of, and various types of rigging Devices and equipment.
