This workshop explores the risk factors that come into play which can impact mental health, the resulting dynamics and how issues become compounded.

Does how we interact with one another have an impact on our well-being?
What are the essentials of healthy relationships?
What can counselling teach us about ourselves in relationship?

During the workshop students will look at some classic concepts in how we relate to one another and tips on how to improve our daily interactions with those we care about.

Participants will enhance existing understanding and explore new ideas and techniques.

The aim of this workshop is to facilitate counsellors to work at greater depth with relational patterns and systems.

Eligibility:Qualification in Counselling, Psychotherapy or other helping professionals with therapeutic experience and students currently in professional training.

This workshop will cover:

  • Themes from Evolutionary Psychology
  • Emotional Functioning & Mental Health
  • Helping the client conceptualise relationships
  • Goal setting
  • The Process of Change: Compassion in Relationships
  • Relation with Self

Content will be presented theoretically and experientially with a high level of discussion, participation and role play required of attendees
