This module aims to provide the learner with the skills, knowledge and competence to understand the concepts, principals and values of recovery in Mental Health and to enable the learner to develop key skills necessary to work more effectively with mental health service
It is an elective module towards the Level 5 Award in Healthcare Support.
Programme Aim:
At the end of the course the learner will:
- Become aware of the definitions, concept and key principles of recovery
- To develop an understanding of conditions helpful for recovery.
- To create awareness and understanding of the relationship between health management and recovery.
- To recognise the importance of the competencies required by mental health workers in supporting the Recovery process.
- To recognise the role of mental health workers in supporting the service user with a mental health difficulty in the recovery process
Entry Requirements
Minimum of Level 4 certificate standard of education. Strong interest in the provision of quality care in a healthcare setting.
