When you think about Carnival, what comes to mind? For us, Carnival is a time to express oneʼs flamboyant, colorful side, and to share it with the people around us. For this project, you and your kids (or students) will explore their individuality, and then create a fabulous Carnival mask that explores their unique selves. Great for a fun project at home or as an elaborate unit in a school setting, the Carnival mask program is designed to help kids explore their hobbies, interests, and personal style.

How It Works

With all of the Jarratts online creative school of learning projects, we guide you through each step of the process using HD tuition and guidance. Our award winning team, including Ellen and Bo, star in the videos that show you the steps necessary to complete the project. For the Carnival Mask project, we start with a mood board that helps the young artists in your home or classroom explore their feelings and moods. From there, we move onto making colorful masks that kids create as an expression of their personalities.

Like our other projects, the materials necessary for creating your Carnival masks can be found right in your home or classroom. Our focus on recycled materials is another way we work to spark kidsʼ creativity and to get them to think outside the box.

The Carnival Masks program is suitable for home as well as the classroom -- and you can rest assured that the project is well-organized and easy to follow. Weʼve tested it and re-tested it in numerous workshops worldwide, so we know it works!
