Course details

This course is about how children between the ages of about 5-10 can be helped to sleep at night, and can be helped to stop bed-wetting and enuresis.

If you are a practitioner working with children and families, perhaps working in social work or family therapy, or similar fields then this course has ideas that you can suggest to parents and support them as they apply the techniques to stopping children bed-wetting, wetting themselves and helping children fall asleep.

If you work in residential children's homes, or as a foster carer then this course can offer ideas that you can apply to help children between about 5-10 years old that you are caring for to stop bed-wetting and enuresis, and strategies you can apply to help children to sleep, and to help them to learn to sleep through the night.

If you are a parent or carer of a child between 5-10 years old and your child isn't sleeping at night, or if your child is wetting the bed, or wets themselves during the day and struggles to know when to go to the toilet, then this course can give you ideas you can apply as parents or carers to help your child to stop bed-wetting, wetting themselves or to be able to fall asleep at night and with time to learn to sleep through the night.

The skills you will learn here are designed to be less stressful to children than some other techniques taught elsewhere, like all 'parenting techniques' they only work by regular and consistent calm use, often over many weeks.

This course is mainly made up of video lessons, it is also recommended that you post questions in forums that others on the course, and the course instructor can respond to. This will help with your specific situation, and offer the opportunity to look at refining what you do to your specific circumstances. It will also help you to feel supported and to hopefully keep up motivation levels to continue to apply what you have learnt.

This course can be completed in under an hour, but it is recommended that you revisit lessons as you apply techniques to keep them fresh in your mind when you are needing to use them, and to make sure you are applying them correctly.
