QSCS/CSCS Excavator Training

Course details

QSCS/CSCS Track machine course is to equip learners with the skills, knowledge & understanding to safely operate a 180 or 360 Excavator

Course Objectives:

On completion of this course the learners will be;

• Aware of the current Health & Safety Legislation as it applies to safe operation of Excavator
• Able to safely operate an Excavator (180 and/or 360)
• Aware of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Quarry) Regulations 2008

Course Programme:

• Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act 2005
• Safety, Health & Welfare at Work (Quarry) Regulations 2008
• Employers & Employees legal duties under current Health & Safety Legislation
• Safe Use of an Excavator (180 and/or 360)
• Pre-use inspections
• Operating Controls

Training Methods:

Classroom based presentation on power-point. Learners can practice operating 180 or 360 machine, where applicable.

Who Should Attend?

Those employees who are responsible for or in control of an Excavator

Additional Information:

• Maximum of 3 learners
• SOLAS CSCS Identity Card & FETAC certification will be awarded to those who successfully complete & pass this two day course
• Learners must have an up to date Safe Pass Card & their own PPE (e.g. Safety Footwear etc….)
