Entry Requirements
- No CAO points required.
- An English language test may be required for international students from countries where English is not a first language.
- For mature candidates recognition of prior learning and experience will be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
- Leaving Certificate (established), Leaving Certificate Applied (LCA), or equivalent.
- Places will be allocated on the basis of an interview.
Certification
- QQI Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education, Level 5 – 5M2009.
Work Experience
Work experience is an integral part of this course. Students spend four days a week in College and one day a week on practical work placement. There is also block placements throughout the year. The dates and duration will be specified by the college.
