HOW WILL I LEARN?
You will have a mixture of classroom-based subjects, practicals, work placement and independent study. You will be expected to complete assignments throughout the year.
HOW WILL I BE ASSESSED?
A full Award is granted on passing the relevant 8 components. You will be assessed throughout and at the end of the year. On successful completion of each component, you will be awarded a Pass, a Merit or a Distinction grade.
WHAT WE WOULD LIKE FROM YOU!
Applicants with a passion for working with nature, a willingness to work hard, an interest in plants, gardening and a basic knowledge of maths. You will be expected to provide your own workwear and safety boots. A list will be provided at course commencement.
CAREER/PROGRESSION OPPORTUNITIES
Upon successful completion of the relevant 8 components you will be awarded a QQI Level 4 Award in Horticulture 4M1994 and will be eligible to apply for QQI Level 5. See what our Students say.
