This course provide all the required knowledge to understad the punching shear design procedure in a very detailed manner, It takes you from the basic concept till reaching the advanced topics in design and theories such as calculating polar moment of inertia for punching perimeter.

we will illustrate the types of cracks in the slab/column region then we will go through concrete punching resistance equations and how to use it and how it was developed.

Then we will illustrate the types of reinforcement that used in resisting punching shear and when and how to use it and calculate the required reinforcement area.

After this we will highlight the difference between the other codes in calculating punching shear in order to have a background on the other codes design provisions.
