The Diploma in Public Relations, Advertising & Sales course is designed for inpiduals with no prior experience in these areas and is suited to executives who wish to upgrade their qualifications. It is an excellent choice for anybody interested in adding new skills to their existing role or who wish a career change or to gain employment. The course is internationally recognised by CMI (UK) and and successful graduates will receive an international CMI Diploma in Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising & Sales and a national QQI Marketing Communications level 6 Minor Award.
The Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising & Sales diploma qualification is delivered by highly qualified and skilled professionals who offer unique insights to these areas from an Irish and international perspective. Students will acquire strategies and tactics to plan, deliver, manage, and evaluate Marketing, Public Relations, Sales and Advertising campaigns. The course offers valuable insights as to how you can win new customers using various promotional tools. A strong Sales section has been included which is essential in the current challenging business environment. How to implement a Media Strategy and effective PR plan is explored. The latest internet marketing tools are examined and a practical Marketing Communications project is added which you will find highly rewarding. Setting up a plan to include cutting edge online marketing tools to include Google campaigns can be included in your project.
An emphasis on practical assessment is included on this programme which you will find highly rewarding. You will be required to prepare a project around an organisation of your choice. This will demonstrate your ability in putting together a marketing communications plan.

What is the next step?
Graduates will be entitled to hold the credentials Dip.Mark.Com. after their name. Upon completion of this course, students are eligible to get 4 exemptions from the Advanced Diploma in Marketing, PR & Advertising level 8 offered by CMI. Students can go on to pursue a Degree in Marketing, PR or advertising Communications. Careers open to Diploma students are field sales, telesales, sales manager, advertising executive, ad copywriter, ad planner, creative ad director, public relations accounts executive, pr officer, press officer, media planner, media buyer, media analyst.
Eligibility

The Institute operates an ‘Open Entry’ policy in respect of many of its vocational programmes but prospective students should note that the following entrance qualifications are recommended for those wishing to undertake this programme:
Entry Requirements for the Diploma 1 - The minimum age for registration is 17 and applicants should possess one of the following:
- 1 The ICM Business Studies Group Certificate
- One GCE A-level plus Three GCSEs (or equivalents)
- Five GCSEs at grades A, B or C (or equivalents)
- A suitable BTEC National Award
- Any qualification equivalent to one of the above.
Applicants over the age of 21 who do not hold one of the recommended entrance qualifications may also register for the programme providing they have been in full-time employment for a minimum of two years.
