Course details
This course provides learners with the necessary skills to enable them to work in the practical area of Public Relations and Event Management. The course develops the learners understanding of Public Relations, Event Management, Marketing Practice including Digital Marketing, and their role in the business environment. Learners who graduate from this very popular course are very well equipped to enter PR firms or PR departments of large companies. They can work in a wide range of capacities and even set up their own companies. Guest speakers from the industry are an integral component of this programme. Learners may also progress to the QQI (FETAC) Advanced Level 6 Award in Business (Enterprise and Management) or Office Administration at DFEi and may also qualify for entry to a wide range of relevant Third Level courses through the Higher Education Links Scheme (HELS).

Learners assist in organising many events throughout the academic year. Skills studied in theory are put into practical use in organising the annual talent show and other events as they arise
