What is this course about?
This unit provides the trainee with the knowledge to write and prove a PLC program.
- Topics covered include:
- Boolean statements
- Use of PLC advanced functions
- Use of analogue functions
- Binary to BCD and BCD to binary conversion
- Digital to analogue and analogue to digital conversion
- Describe methods of testing and debugging hardware and software
- Advanced relay logic to PLC logic conversion
- Develop programs for process control
What are the minimum entry requirements?
Technicians, Electricians, ElectroMechanical Technicians, Apprentices and students who have completed PLC’S unit 1 or equivalent would be ideal candidates for this programme.
All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
