What is this course about?

This unit provides the trainee with the knowledge to write and prove a PLC program.

Topics covered include:
Boolean statements
Use of PLC advanced functions
Use of analogue functions
Binary to BCD and BCD to binary conversion
Digital to analogue and analogue to digital conversion
Describe methods of testing and debugging hardware and software
Advanced relay logic to PLC logic conversion
Develop programs for process control

What are the minimum entry requirements?

Technicians, Electricians, ElectroMechanical Technicians, Apprentices and students who have completed PLC’S unit 1 or equivalent would be ideal candidates for this programme.
