What is this course about?

This programme provides evidence on competence in the planning of a PLC program. The unit describes typical PLC operations and how to plan a program.

  • Physical capabilities of PLC’s
  • Writing Programs

What are the minimum entry requirements?

This programme is suitable for maintenance personnel involved in fault-finding and repair of electromechanical machines. The programme provides a practical introduction to PLC operation and programming. Electrical experience is necessary, as are basic computing skills.

All applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Lifelong Learning reserves the right to require applicants to attend for an interview to determine their suitability for the programme.
