Course details

The Diploma in Procurement and Supply Chain course is awarded by the prestigious CIPS, Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply and is the first chartered purchasing course of its kind in Ireland. Designed for those who aspire to work as Chartered Procurement & Supply professionals, this is the primary step on the route to the Professional Diploma in Purchasing & Supply level 6 UK (broadly comparable to level 8 in Ireland) and full Membership of CIPS.

Due to the chartered nature of the award, graduates will be in an excellent position to capitalise on national and multi-national career opportunities, here in Ireland and abroad. This course enables you to develop knowledge and skills in purchasing and supply and most importantly develop solutions to unpredictable problems. You will learn how poor procurement decisions can lead to financial collapse of organisations while good procurement can enhance profitability and ensure long term growth.

This procurement and supply chain managment course will provide you with the skills and knowledge to save on costs and run an efficient purchasing and supply operation. You will have the opportunity to evaluate and use information to develop strategies, examine case scenarios and demonstrate effective judgement skills in planning, procurement and supply activity. The Diploma in Procurement & Supply course is recognised on the UK framework by Ofqual at level 4 UK (broadly comparable to level 6 on NFQ in Ireland). If you have no procurement or supply chain management experience, it is advisable you consider doing the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Foundation course with CMI first, butthat is not mandatory

The newest feature of this course is Live Online classes. Live online classes allow you to interact and ask questions while listening to your lecturer deliver their class live online. If you are unable to make the session all live classes are recorded for revision and playback purposes. They are available for both classroom and distance students.
