- Duration: 8 Weeks
This introductory methodology course will introduce new and experienced teachers to the current best practice in methodology, following the Cambridge University TKT syllabus, a benchmark of quality.
This course can be taken for the following purposes:
- To introduce teaching methodology that will be focused on in more depth on the Cambridge CELTA course
- In preparation for the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT), if you choose to take the actual TKT exam
The TKC is modular and flexible. The full course is 23.5 hours, with each module of 90 minutes covering all the basics of good teaching practice. You can also adapt the TKC to suit your own teaching requirements by choosing the modules you would like to study.
Why do the TKC?
The TKC will improve your confidence as a teacher and give you the knowledge and skills to help you develop your career. It helps you to keep your teaching skills up to date. At the end of this course you can opt to sit for the Cambridge Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT). If you are already teaching, the TKT is a formal recognition of your experience. This is a highly-respected internationally-recognised award by Cambridge English Language Assessment, part of the University of Cambridge.
*Passing the TKC does not automatically qualify you for the CELTA
