The Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Software Engineering) at Maynooth University exposes graduates in computer science and related disciplines to the many facets of this complex area – the technical, the methodological, the organisational – so that successful participants will subsequently have the foundation to go on and lead major projects in software engineering in many industrial and commercial sectors.
Entry Requirements
Admission will normally be restricted to graduates who have achieved an honours degree in Computer Science or a discipline involving significant amounts of practical and theoretical issues in computer science. Highly qualified applicants from other disciplines may be considered. Note that this degree requires students to have a good initial knowledge of Computer Science, and ability in Mathematics. Applications from highly qualified students from Ireland's Institutes of Technology are welcomed. Ideally, applicants will have experience of working on industrial software engineering projects.
The number of places on the programme is limited and consequently admission is on a competitive basis. Thus, we cannot guarantee admission even if you meet the entry requirements.
