Course details

The Tóraíocht programme, leading to a Post-Graduate Diploma in Educational Leadership, is a programme of professional development for teachers interested in developing their leadership skills. The programme includes a combination of practical skills and theoretical foundations, to support preparation for senior leadership and management positions. This programme has been developed jointly by the PDST (Professional Development Service for Teachers) and the Department of Education at Maynooth University.

Entry Requirements

This course aims to support experienced teachers anticipating taking up leadership positions in their schools. Applicants are required to have a primary degree approved by the Senate of the University, be qualified teachers and to have at least 4 years full-time, qualified teaching experience.

  • Historian Dr Tom O Connor is working with colleagues from the University of Alcala and the Irish Colleges in Spain, discovering the hidden stories of Irish people who got caught up in the Spanish Inquisition.
