Course details

The Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma (Nursing) allows you to custom build a programme that meets your personal learning needs. The programme will enable you to meet continuing professional development requirements, further develop your knowledge and skills or meet a specific service need. You can also use the programme as a stepping stone to “build” to other programmes.

This programme has been specifically designed to meet the needs of busy practitioners, offering a truly flexible approach to learning:

  • Choose from a menu of modules that interests you.
  • All modules are grounded in practice and give you an opportunity to build your knowledge and skills.
  • Take the programme at your own pace*.

This programme is offered through blended learning, giving you the flexibility to learn when and where you want. Blended learning is a combination of on-line and face-to-face learning and teaching. Most learning/teaching will be delivered on-line through Blackboard, an interactive learning system, which connects directly to your home or work computer. Lecturers will support and guide your online learning as you work through the module. In addition to learning online, you will attend face-to-face workshops usually two days per module. The flexibility of blended learning makes it possible to combine working full-time with studying.

*PgCert—ranging from one to three academic years. PDip—ranging from one to five academic years.
