Course details
This postgraduate certificate looks at working effectively with under-18’s in the field of counselling & psychotherapy. This is modular based training and students will need to allocate time outside of the course for further study and assignments. Students will also engage in clinical placement work along with clinical supervision in order to meet with the course requirement of 50 client hours.
Students will have the opportunity to explore creative media such as music, art/clay, sand tray and therapeutic stories as part of this experiential learning. The course will be underpinned by theory, in areas such as Lifespan Development relevant to working with young people. The postgraduate certificate in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapy is designed and taught to Level 8 standard.
