Course details
The Post-Graduate Certificate in Building Management & Surveying provides integrated multi-disciplinary knowledge and skills for assuming extended job scope and responsibilities within the wider realm of property development and management value chain and business operations.
The course specifically seeks to:
Upgrade and enhance the employability of those working in property development and management services to ‘T-Shaped’ professionals with extended knowledge and skills to multi-task and global skills to seize opportunities in the regional and international markets
Provide Professional, Managers and Executive (PME) job seekers and those seeking a career change, an avenue to be re-skilled to a Property Executive
Provide lifelong learning and eventual membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), the world's leading professional body for qualifications and standards in the built environment, through the Associate route or the Member route via the Northumbria University Masters in Surveying and Construction distance learning programmes.

Course Recognition
The course has been recognised by Northumbria University for 60 credit transfer to the 180-credit MSc Surveying (Real Estate/Building Surveying/Quantity Surveying) and MSc Construction distance learning programme.
Entry Requirements
4.1 Applicants are expected to have the following qualifications:
- A good degree or diploma preferably in engineering or any business related field
- 'O'/'N' Levels (Credits in English and Mathematics) or WDA ESS WPLN Level 5/6
4.2 Applicants not meeting the above qualifications may be required to take bridging courses

The 6th intake of the course is scheduled to run from 1 Dec 14 - 21 Jan 15, on a full-time basis.
