Course details
This programme will assist new learners on the basic fundamentals of image creation and manipulation using Adobe Photoshop CS6. The programme will offer a full overview of the applications interface, tools, menus, and panels will guide the novice user through their usage.
It will also cover basic image compression and formatting options. Adobe Photoshop Foundation level has been designed for the new and inexperienced user who wishes to become familiar with the basics of image editing and creation.
Entry Requirement
- For entry to the programme a candidate must have basic computing skills.
Examinations
- There are no examinations. Continuous assessment will take place throughout the programme and a Certificate of completion will be issued to eligible participants.
Course Content
- On successful completion of this programme the learner will:
- Have a solid understanding of the fundamental features, menus, tools, and panels of the Adobe Photoshop interface.
- Work with various paint, enhancement, and retouch tools.
- Work with layers, selection, and masking tools.
- Develop a solid understanding of image compression and export formats for use in a range of activities from video to print to web.
