The programme focuses on the core competencies of Data Analysis, Clinical Research Co-ordination, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Lean Sigma for Big Data and Continuous Quality Improvement. The programme also develops the professional skills of the graduate to enhance their future career opportunities through development of their CV, and related interview, networking, presentation and communication skills. Students also undertake a work placement to support their transition into employment.

Innopharma Labs supports the Biopharmaceutical and Clinical Trials industries by training multi-skilled personnel to integrate into operations, compliance and analytical roles. This programme has been developed in collaboration with Griffith College Dublin. Courses will be offered in Dublin and regionally on demand.

The successful graduate will be able to:

  • Understand the pharmaceutical industry, its history and future direction, the life cycles of Discovery, Development and Delivery and the guiding principles by which the industryoperates.
  • Understand in detail Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical Life Cycles,Validation, Clinical Trials Co-ordination, Data Analysis and Business improvement.
  • Identify the regulatory quality systems requirements, operational behaviours and identify critical quality attributes and improvement opportunities for a pharmaceutical / clinical process.
  • Correctly select and apply the appropriate business planning/analysis tools to coordinate activities as well as investigate and recommend improvements for businessprocesses.
  • Analyse, interpret, and manipulate data in pursuit of solutions to specific business problems.
  • Work effectively, ethically and compliantly with others to adhere to given policies/procedures as well as lead/coordinate others to deliver business projects/improvements on time.

Students will also participate in a work placement to support their transition back to employment.

Online learning and support will be provided through the use of Moodle.

Participants who return to work during the duration of the course can avail of the online option to complete the lectures and sit the final exams.

A substantial focus of the programme will also develop the professional skills of the graduate to enhance their future career opportunities through development of their CV, interview skills, network, presentation and communication skills.

This two semester programme will be delivered on a full time basis (2 days per week) over an eight month duration.
