Course details

This half-day course covers a wide range of topics relating to clinical audit, including defining the audit need, conducting a clinical audit, making recommendations, identifying areas suitable for clinical audit, managing the distinction between clinical audit and research, evidence of good practice and benchmarking. We provide practical advice on what to include in a clinical audit report and how to use clinical audit to mitigate risks and improve quality of service. Ultimately, this course is about using practical tools for quality improvement to improve patient care.
