Our Pediatric First Aid course is specifically designed for those who care for young children e.g. parents or grand-parents or individual interested in learning life saving skills.

Course Objectives:

On completion of the course, learners will be able to;

  • Confidently deal with an emergency first aid situation involving a child
  • Administer appropriate first aid treatment to a child
  • Know what to do & what not to do in the event of an emergency

Course Programme:

  • Introduction to First Aid
  • Accident scene management – Personal safety
  • Patient Assessment
  • Infant & Child CPR
  • Respiratory Emergencies & Choking
  • Burns & Scalds - Medical Emergencies
  • Other First Aid Information (e.g. Management of Spinal Injuries)

Training Methods:

  • Classroom based power-point presentation with a practical component; (i.e. Dealing with Emergencies)

Who Should Attend?

  • This course is specifically designed for those staff or individual with an interest in, working with or caring for children or those under the age of 14 years.

  • Maximum of 10 learners
  • Certificate of Competence will be issued to all learners who successfully complete & pass this course
