The Practical ICT Skills Level 3 [ASEPICT3] qualification aims to equip candidates the ability to demonstrate competency in IT Applications. It develops their understanding and practical ability across the key Level 3 areas of software applications in Word Processing, Presentation Software, Spreadsheet, and Database and apply these in a modern business context.

In the modern business environment, ICT is a fundamental business skill. A comprehensive understanding of modern uses of standard ICT functions to communicate as well as to display, manipulate and store information is a pre-requisite for any organization working in an international, globalized world.

This qualification is designed for candidates who wish to: develop advanced practical ICT skills and apply these skills in a modern business context; progress a career and need appropriate ICT skills to support that career; and return to work and need to update their ICT skills. It is endorsed by eskills UK Ltd, the Sector Skills Council for IT interests in the UK.

The assessments enable candidates to demonstrate their ability to use competently the applications and apply these skills to produce accurate, business-like work.
