Microsoft Access is a file-based desktop application that enables organizations to manage and leverage data. The relational database also includes tools that allow you to quickly build database-bound forms and reports. Microsoft Access is an excellent alternative to client-server databases for individuals and small teams — both technical and non-technical. The user-friendly interface enables you to import and export data to other applications, use templates to create and publish data and effortlessly build and publish web databases.

Access is a versatile tool. You can use it as a personal data management tool (for your use alone) or you can use it as a construction set to develop applications for an entire department or organization. Throughout this training you will use Access to manage your data, including creating a new database; constructing tables; designing forms and reports; and creating queries to join, filter, and sort data. It is this course's purpose to teach you the important features of Access and how to use them. Once we cover the basics, we'll move on to advanced features. And learners gain the skills to develop and support robust Access systems, manipulate data, perform queries, develop forms, and design sophisticated data analysis reports for professionally produced presentations.
