Numerous tools and approaches are presented in this project management course in order to manage a successful project. Earned Value Analysis is one of these tools that is highly valued. Sadly, it appears that the term "Earned Value Management" is met and greeted with dread rather than the concept of utility. This programme aids our learning. Through the use of earned value analysis (EVA), a project manager is able to gauge the actual amount of work completed on a project in addition to simply reviewing cost and schedule information. EVA offers a mechanism that enables the project to be evaluated by the amount of progress made. The project manager is then able to predict a project's total cost and completion date using the progress that has been monitored, based on trend analysis or application of the project's "burn rate".
