Course details

Through a series of demonstrations and projects, learners will experience the exploration into the concept of transformation from liquid to solid, and solid to liquid using resin and acrylic.

Course Outline

  • Demonstration and hands-on of various technique of solid and liquid transformation
  • Design and construct jewellery pieces using concepts of transformation, deformation, additive and subtractive methods
  • Using acrylic as a medium, manipulating shapes by using hot air gun
  • Understanding the properties of resin and how it changes from liquid to solid form
  • Making rubber molds to create multiple pieces
  • Hands-on individual projects using resin and acrylic

Sparked by the discovery of new resins that are easy to handle and increased affordability, entrepreneurs and hobbyists are now actively creating resin jewellery to express their creativity. Acrylic is also commonly used in jewellery design as it is inexpensive, versatile, lightweight and comes in a variety of colours.
