General Aims
This course is designed for those with no previous experience of First Aid who care for young children. It will empower learners with the skills and knowledge to give immediate treatment to a sick or injured child before professional help arrives.
Method of Delivery
The course will utilise both theory and practical learning which will encourage student participation and feedback and ensure strong knowledge of practical skills.
Assessment
There will be ongoing assessment of both theory and practical learning throughout the day and full attendance is required to successfully complete the programme and receive certification.
Certification
A certificate of attendance and recognition of training will be awarded by the Irish Ambulance Training Institute. This course also meets HSA (Health and Safety Authority) Guidelines
