In this course, participants will review and learn the principles and procedures that will optimize pump and seal life through proper operation. Participants will identify causes of rotating equipment failure and discuss methods to make correction
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, participants will interpret the sights and sounds of potential failure and identify corrective actions. Also, the participants will learn the start-up and shutdown procedures and identify the purpose and function of critical pump and seal components
COURSE OUTLINE.
- Discuss how centrifugal pumps and mechanical seals operate.
- Identify causes of rotating equipment failure through improper operation.
- Discuss the function and operation of auxiliary equipment.
- Review and discuss proper start-up and shutdown procedures.
- Discuss and review troubleshooting procedures that identify potential rotating equipment damage or failure
