Course details
When an incident escalates from an incident to a crisis or disaster, it will require the use of highly trained senior officer to operate within an EOC in order to support the incident commander and responders at the scene. This course will educate the senior officers how to escalate from an Incident Command System to an Incident Management ; Students will learn the various positions required within an EOC and how they interact with the Incident Manager, the scene, and the public. This will be achieved by gaining skills and knowledge in the following areas:- Intro to Incident Management
- Differentiating between ICS and IMS
- Pre-planning
- EOC key players and their roles
- Unified Command and other agencies and NGOs
- Managing the Incident
- Post Incident Activities
- Tabletop exercises
