Basic Finance and Accounting MindShift Training
This exciting and informative program will enhance your ability to interpret and understand and use finance and cost information in your managerial decision-making. It has been designed to transform both finance and non-finance manager into a more effective team member who can propose, analyze and evaluate financial decisions. It does so by providing a fundamental understanding of the content, concepts, models and terminology of the whole area of finance and cost control.
The purpose of this practical training course is for participants to understand and be able to apply in their management role, key finance, cost and accounting principles, thereby contributing to their organization's success. The workshop is not designed to train participants as finance or cost accountants. The workshop will focus on understanding the basic principles, concepts and techniques of finance and cost control, so that participants will become clear about the key universal concepts and what they mean - no matter what type of organisation they work for.
Through a combination of interactive presentations, group case studies and discussion sessions, participants will emerge from this course with an improved understanding of a number of key areas. These include the how to finance a company, anticipating revenues and associated costs, the planning and budgeting process, review of financial statements, and financial management practices such as break-even analysis, budgeting and controlling costs etc.
This will enhance the participants' ability to communicate in their company with regards to the key concepts that form part of finance and cost control.
