OH & S Lead Auditor course or OHSAS 18001 - is a British Standard for Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Series for health and safety management systems, intended to help an organization to control occupational health and safety risks. It was developed in response to widespread demand for a recognized standard against which to be certified and assessed.
IRCA - The International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) is the world's original and largest international certification body for auditors of management systems. IRCA approved training organisations offer certified training courses based on a wide range of management systems standards and industry sectors. IRCA certified training can help a candidate to demonstrate his/her competence as an auditor and go on to achieve professional recognition as an IRCA certified lead auditor.
IRCA Accredited OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor Course will provide training for potential Occupational Health and Safety Management System Lead Auditors to achieve recognized OH&SMS auditor/lead auditor status that is recognized and approved by IRCA. This course will enable participants to gain a basic knowledge of the requirements for OHSAS 18001:2007 and health and safety audits to effectively participate in the implementation and auditing of an Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

Qualification Information:
Prerequisite: A prior knowledge of the requirements of ISO 18001 and an understanding of report writing would be beneficial, however not mandatory.Basic English knowledge is mandatory.

Examination & Certification: There is a two-hour examination for this course. Electronic devices, including laptops and mobile phones, are not permitted into the examination room. Delegates will also be assessed on the basis of their progress throughout the exercises. Delegates who successfully complete both the examination and the continuous assessment will be awarded a certificate of Successful Completion and will satisfy the formal training requirements for IRCA OHSAS Auditor Certification scheme.
On successful completion of the assessment certificate will be issued by Bureau Veritas.
