Course details
The course is registered with the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) and the content is developed to provide in-depth knowledge on Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) 18001:2007 Standard requirements. As per legislative norms, companies are required to develop and conform to their health and safety policies. The chief aim of this course is to apprise OH&S auditors in the principles and practices related to auditing to enable conformity with the national and internal accepted norms and regulations related to OH&S requirements. This course is an essential requisite for management in any organisation. Though not mandatory, it is strongly recommended that delegates have prior knowledge and experience in OH&S systems standards and auditing.

Course Objectives
- Explain the elements of OHSAS 18001
- Construe the demands of OHSAS 18001 in relation to an audit
- Distinguish the roles and responsibilities of OH&S auditors and lead auditors
- Contrive and execute OHSAS 18001 audit in conformance with ISO 19011
- Be competent to Lead an internal health and safety audit
- Record, monitor, analyse and prepare Audit reports including non-conformity reports
- Seek audit follow-up activities, including rating the effectiveness of corrective action leading to improvement by reducing or eliminating risks
- Introduce risk assessment principles and processes
