Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001) Standard defines the requisites for an occupational health and safety (OH&S) management system. This Standard is seen as a way of acting in accordance to the safety legislative compliance and existing system arrangements. Internal auditing is the key aspect not only for preserving but also for formulating and improving the existing work practices internal to the organisation. The training focuses on the design, development and processes for effective implementation of the principles and techniques of internal audit of health and safety systems. This course is registered with the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA).

Course Objectives
- Recognise the principles of auditing along with the roles and responsibilities of an auditor
- Identify and represent the essentials of OHSAS 18001 standard and how they are enforced in the organisation
- Plan and conduct an internal health and safety audit based on process identification, sampling and questioning
- Prepare audit reports
- Identify nonconformities and document the same
- Suggest corrective actions and prepare the continual improvement plan for the Occupational health and safety management system of the organisation
- Coordinate during third party Certification audit
