This busi­ness course is designed for stu­dents who are inter­ested in pur­su­ing a career in admin­is­tra­tion and recep­tion. Oppor­tu­ni­ties arise in a wide vari­ety of dif­fer­ent office envi­ron­ments includ­ing legal, med­ical, civil ser­vice, com­mer­cial and edu­ca­tional. Mod­ules such as text pro­duc­tion, book­keep­ing, pay­roll and office admin­is­tra­tion pro­vide grad­u­ates with essen­tial skills required by busy office envi­ron­ments. This course also pro­vides an excel­lent foun­da­tion for those wish­ing to pur­sue Degree pro­grammes in Insti­tutes of Tech­nol­ogy and Uni­ver­si­ties or for those who wish to progress onto DIFE’s Level 6 Busi­ness programme.

Pro­gres­sion and Career Options:

This course enables grad­u­ates to take up employ­ment in any busi­ness sec­tor, includ­ing legal, med­ical, com­mer­cial, finan­cial and edu­ca­tional. Grad­u­ates may also progress to QQI Level 6 in Busi­ness here in DIFE or advance to Degree pro­grammes in Insti­tutes of Tech­nol­ogy or Uni­ver­si­ties such as DCU and Maynooth.
