Regardless of the industry, organizations are responsible for providing a safe working environment for its employees and customers. Proper policies and procedures must be followed to prevent injury, illness or death. Trained safety professionals can mitigate these risks. The Master of Science in Occupational Safety Management helps students develop the skills and knowledge needed to effectively anticipate, recognize, evaluate, prevent and control workplace safety and occupational health hazards.

Students will write case studies, safety policies and initiatives. They will engage in collaborative projects to build a solid foundation in the critical aspects of occupational safety.

The Occupational Safety Management coursework also helps prepare students for certification by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals.
